NBH – Residential and Commercial Building Nordbahnhof (1020 Vienna)

Bruno Marek Meets Am Tabor

The first building block in the urban-design layout on the former Northern Rail Station premises: situated on the new Bruno-Marek-Allee at the corner of Am Tabor, a shopping, office, and residential building is projected with a facade height of up to 35 meters. Pursuant to the urban-design master plan, the building’s front and height are staggered and compartmentalized. The mixed use of commercial areas and affordable housing units brings life to the new tree-lined street.

An urban plinth offers shopping and restaurant space on the ground floor and floor space for flexible long-term residential or commercial use on the first upper floor. The uppermost floors of the 35-meter high front building are planned to accommodate offices with a magnificent panoramic view. The side of the building away from the street defines, together with two other residential buildings, a quiet but traversable open space: a sunny park with lush green as the shared center of the lively ensemble.
